Not your father’s wedding band.

We know there’s a lot of noise to wade through out there, so let us help.

You can expect lots of 80s, New Wave, AM country, modern Indie and 60’s R&B. We’d make Brooklyn Vegan and the Grande Ol Opry equally proud.

Cocktail hour?

Make it fancy with our jazz ensemble.

Specializing in the golden era of the 60’s/70’s, we’ll bring a playful mix of modal jazz and fusion.

From Herbie Hancock to Weather Report, Miles Davis to Sonny Rollins, we’ve got you covered. Let us curate a setlist just for your special night.

No hired guns here.

We’ve played together for nearly 20 years now. Listen to the live vides, we think you’ll feel it too. Our music has been featured by Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Paste, Spin, Billboard and NPR.

Available as a 4 to 6 piece (but trust us, you’ll want those horns!)

 FAQs *

  • Midnight Mixtape is a 6 piece band with 4 vocalists (3 male and 1 female), keys, bass, guitar, drums, saxophone, flute, and various fun niche instruments (melodica, anyone?)

In the rare circumstance a main band member cannot make it, we can call on friends from our sister bands to cover.

  • You’ll get the full band, emcee services, sound system, lighting, and we’ll cover our transportation. There may be an additional fee to cover travel outside the central Texas region.

In addition to the standard 3 hour reception, we provide add on services like cocktail hour, ceremony music, send-offs, first dances, etc.

  • The standard wedding reception is three hours total: one hour instrumental dinner set and two x one hour dance sets with a brief break in between (perfect time to cut the cake!)

  • Our goal is to curate a play list made just for you—much like a mixtape from your crush. Once we’re signed, we’ll share our song book and ask you to pick your top ten must-play songs as well as ten songs you do not want to hear. We’ll throw in some jams we know to be bangers and definitely share our proposed setlist with you. This is a collaborative process because it’s your big night!

  • We can learn new songs for $200/song. Our band has collective decades of experience, so if we find that we know a song that isn’t in our song book, we’ll happily play it again at no additional cost.

We ask that guests refrain from making requests at the bandstand.

  • For the full ensemble, we’ll need at least a 12’x16’ performance area, and staging is preferred but totally optional.

We’ve spent years on the road touring, so we’ve performed in our fair share of living rooms, backyards, basements, barns—even an abandoned hospital! All of that to say, we’re more than happy to get creative should your dream venue call for it.

  • Pricing varies by event location, duration, date, etc. Tell us more about your event and we’ll send you a custom quote.
